Perspectives

Replay of a recurring conversation (totally mindless, btw):

Someone: Do you wear glasses all the time?
Me: err... most of the time; not while sleeping horizontally, taking bath, etc.
Someone: Hmm.. don't you feel awkward about a foreign body perched on your nose and ears?
Me: You get used to it after a while.
Someone: But isn't it annoying?
Me: Actually, its refreshing sometimes.
Someone: How so?
Me: With it, you see the world as everyone with a 20-20 vision sees it, without it, you have your own unique perspective!
Someone: Really?
Me: Sure! Try holding up a few fingers from a distance of about 30ft and wait for my answer ;-)

Finding the time...

Think of all the things you've wanted to do -- learn music, learn a new language, but you never got around doing it. Almost always, the one excuse that works is -- "I don't have the time". Its dated, its lame, and I am guilty as hell of using it on far too many occasions.

Some people however, seem to have the talent to 'make' the time for all that's important to them. I envy them. Top of the list is my good friend Hari.

His interest in Madhwa Siddhanta (Dwaita Philosophy) in the recent times has meant that his blog is slowly turning out to be a treasure house of information on the subject. Add to that his other obsessions -- popularizing the culture and temples of Tulu Nadu, and making available the popular Mantras online.

Well, I don't know how he makes the time, but to top it all, Hari now has an even more ambitious project: The Vishnu Sahasranama Portal.

Here's wishing you all the success Hari, but my question remains...

How do you find the time?
