The truth

I am not much into literature, leave alone poetry.

Occasionally however, you come across gems that encapsulate truth so profound, that you are left wondering, what, if anything particular, caused them to pen the lines.

Why ponder thus the future to forsee,
and jade thy brain to vain perplexity?
Cast off thy care, leave Allah's plans to him --
He formed them all without consulting thee.
